Thanks to technological progress and social changes, human life now seems to be easier than ever. Yet, our times abound with dilemmas and confusions related to frequently mutually exclusive requirements for the fulfillment of social roles. Blurred boundaries between right and wrong, individualism, perfectionism, the decline of traditional values and the inability to create new and stable ones produce enormous pressure both on women and men. It may result in psychological suffering, lack of self-confidence, insecurity and violence.

The conference is aimed to analyze and discuss the following phenomena: life and work demands and challenges, work-life balance, stress and violence at work and life. All these problems according to our opinion are not gender-neutral and requires studies and solutions that take gender perspective into account.

The conference focuses on six main topics:
