Contemporary economy, characterized by high competitiveness and risk, makes high demands not only on managers but also on all the members of an organization. A considerable level of risk, resulting among others from the difficulty in assessing its scale, requires specific attributes that characterize entrepreneurial personality. The most important is the ability to make decisions in an unstable environment. This is a highly desirable feature in a large, medium and small business. Entrepreneurship also includes many other features, such as the ability to use opportunities, to perceive threats or innovativeness. As a consequence, entrepreneurship becomes an essential component of human capital.

The growing role of human resources in the management of modern organizations requires a special style of leadership that differs significantly from traditional leadership based on centralized authority. "New Leadership" requires from the manager to have specific skills which enable such transformation of employee relationships so that participation and empowerment become the basis for managing the organization.

“New Leadership” is designed not only to directly increase effectiveness but, above all, to stimulate innovation for the development of sustainable economies in times when economic growth is encountering more and more barriers resulting from limited human and natural resources.

In this context, a sustainable economy, especially sustainable development, becomes one of the key management objectives, making them the subject of multidisciplinary scientific reflection integrating multiple theoretical and research approaches.

The aim of the conference is the meeting of scientists and practitioners from various areas of knowledge and economy, who will be able to exchange their experience, the results of empirical research, theoretical studies and undertake international cooperation to improve the quality of scientific research.
