Zakład Geografii Społeczno-Ekonomicznej Wydziału Nauk o Ziemi i Gospodarki Przestrzennej  UMCS w Lublinie w imieniu Organizatorów zaprasza na 2019 RSA Central and Eastern Europe Conference, która w bieżącym roku odbędzie się w Polsce, w Lublinie. Konferencja będzie miała miejsce w dniach 11-13 września, w obiektach akademickich Uniwersytetu Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej.

Głównym organizatorem całego cyklu konferencji jest Regional Studies Association, zaś tegorocznym współrealizatorem został Wydział Nauk o Ziemi i Gospodarki Przestrzennej UMCS. Tytuł obecnej konferencji brzmi: "Metropolises and Peripheries of CEE Countries: New Challenges for EU, National and Regional Policies", zaś jej głównym celem jest dyskusja nad takimi zagadnieniami jak wyzwania, czynniki i perspektywy rozwoju różnych rodzajów obszarów metropolitalnych oraz peryferyjnych w krajach Europy Środkowej i Wschodniej. Szczególna uwaga będzie skierowana na problemy ekonomiczne, społeczne i polityczne obszarów, analizowane w odniesieniu do różnych skal przestrzennych, od regionalnych, poprzez krajowe, aż do europejskiej.

On behalf of the Organizers, members of the Department of Socio-Economic Geography I would like to invite you to the 2019 RSA Central and Eastern Europe Conference, which this year takes place in Lublin, Poland. The meeting is held on September 11-13, in the academic buildings of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University.

The periodic CEE conferences are held under the auspices of Regional Studies Association, and this year the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Spatial Management of MCSU is a co-organizer of the Conference. The title of the current edition of the Conference is: "Metropolises and Peripheries of CEE Countries: New Challenges for EU, National and Regional Policies". The main object of the meeting is to study and discuss the issues concerning challenges, determinants and perspectives of development of different kind of metropolises and peripheries in CEE. The emphasis is put on the economic performance, social, and political issues with respect to regional, national and European dimensions.
