Dear students, dear colleagues,

During 3rd and 4th February 2016 the 18th year of International conference MEKON 2016 will take place at the Faculty of Economics VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava (Czech Republic).

This international conference provides the forum to present the results of Ph.D. students’ research.

The main goal of the conference is the international meeting of Ph.D. students who are enrolled in those study programs: Economic Theories, Economy and Management, Economic Policy and Administration, Systems Engineering and Informatics, and other fields of economic studies.

The best conference papers will be awarded. Selected conference papers will be published in a special issue of scientific journal Ekonomická revue – Central European Review of Economics Issues (www.ekf.vsb.cz/cerei) which is recognized by the Research and Development Council as a reviewed journal eligible for research assessment in the Czech Republic. The journal content is also covered by EconLit and EBSCO.

Selected English-written papers will be published in separate publication Coference Proceedings of MEKON 2016 – Selected Papers, which will be sent to the Web of Science and SCOPUS databases.
