It is our pleasure to invite you to the 10th International Conference on
the Asia-Pacific Region
to be held at the Wrocław University of Economics and Business on November 16th 2021 in Wrocław, Poland. The title of the conference is The Asia-Pacific Region In The Post-Pandemic Reality. Knowing how the coronavirus pandemic has already affected this region (and individual countries) and how this crisis has vastly influenced the economic, social and political reality, the time has come to ask questions about the future. What will be the post-pandemic reality in the Asia-Pacific region? What opportunities and threats may arise from this crisis? What will the new order in this region look like in the context of economic, social, and political changes?

The 10th edition of our conference is a resumption of the series of International Asia-Pacific Conferences in 2008-2016, during which representatives of academia, business, government agencies, foreign diplomatic representations and international organizations related to the Asia-Pacific region met at the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business.

Our conferences date back to 2008 when we invited researchers and practitioners focused on the Asia-Pacific region to the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business for the first time. From that moment on, economists, political scientists, diplomats, as well as business representatives and entrepreneurs have established a platform for discussions and deliberations about the current trends and phenomena occurring in that region and shaping the global economy. During our Asia-Pacific conferences, we hosted many honourable guests, among them the Ambassador of New Zealand Mrs Ruth Pearce (2010, 2011), the Ambassador of Australia Mrs Jean Dunn (2012), the Ambassador of Japan Mr Makoto Yamanaka (2011), the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Mr Ji-in Hong (2014), the Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines Mrs Patricia Ann V. Paez (2014), the Ambassador of India Mr Ajay Bisaria (2015), the Ambassador of Japan Mr Shigeo Matsutomi (2016), Mr Alain Ruche from the European Commission (2011), as well as representatives of the Polish government and the Polish diplomatic service and many experts from different scientific centres around the world and Poland. After a few years' break, we want to resume organizing these fruitful meetings of people representing diverse cultures and specializations, sharing their views on contemporary global issues within the Asia-Pacific annual conference framework.

The conference will be international, with English as the leading language. We will host representatives of Asian countries, representatives of foreign enterprises and local public institutions, and Polish and foreign researchers.

The conference will be held in the form of a hybrid event. Live discussions and speeches from the studio at the WUEB campus will be combined with the remote participation of speakers and other participants. The entire event will be streamed online. This will allow choosing the form of participation, considering the organizational and financial possibilities and the current epidemic restrictions.
