The idea of the workshop is to bring together researchers involved in applying logic in various fields of philosophy and information processing. The workshop is organized mutually in China and Poland since we want to build a bridge between Chinese and Polish logic communities but participants from other countries are also welcome.

We are interested in broadly understood applied logic including (not exclusively): various versions of modal, temporal, epistemic, and deontic logic; constructive logics; relevance and other sub-classical logics; many-valued logics; logics of conditionals; quantum logic; decision theory, logics of belief change, and formal epistemology.

This time we especially encourage contributions that fit to two special tracks:

From the history of logic in China and in Poland

The first session devoted to the history of logic in China and in Poland took place at the 3rd CPAL in Hangzhou. The presentations there covered ancient Chinese logic schools and the highlights of Polish contributions to western logic. We decided to explore the subject further and continue sessions on it.

Logic for social phenomena

Social phenomena means a form of collective behaviour, such as accepting or rejecting innovations in technology. The aim of this workshop is to find a formal language to describe the dynamic impact (e.g. market, social norms, and their temporal reproduction) on people’s collective behavior. One example we want to address in particular is a formal account of expected social behavior and reception of autonomous cars. Applying a logic to reason about social phenomena should result in patterns of making predictions and explanations of what happened and what may happen under some borderline conditions.
