Problematyka lean accounting jest od kilku lat przedmiotem dużego zainteresowania praktyków zarządzania, specjalistów i projektantów systemów rachunkowości zarządczej oraz środowiska akademickiego. Coraz częściej stawiane są pytania dotyczące problemów związanych z implementacją tej koncepcji, a także o korzyści, jakie niesie ona dla zarządzania organizacją działającą w warunkach dynamicznego otoczenia globalnego. Potwierdzeniem tego jest duże zainteresowanie środowiska biznesowego i naukowego pierwszą konferencją z tego cyklu, która Katedra Rachunkowości Wydziału Zarządzania zorganizowała w 2012 roku. Chcemy, aby konferencja była spojrzeniem na problematykę Lean Accounting z perspektywy praktyków biznesu i świata nauki.

Celem konferencji jest:

• popularyzacja wiedzy wśród praktyków rachunkowości, menedżerów  i środowiska akademickiego w zakresie Lean Accounting/Management,
• stworzenie forum wymiany wiedzy i doświadczeń z zakresu innowacyjnego podejścia Lean Accounting/Management,
• wymiana doświadczeń z procesu wdrażania i stosowania Lean Accounting/ Management,
• prezentacja przez praktyków studiów przypadków z korporacji globalnych działających w Polsce,
• spotkania z praktykami.

Pogłębienie wiedzy i wymiana poglądów w zakresie tej problematyki są niezbędne zarówno dla pracowników naukowych, jak i praktyków rachunkowości finansowej i rachunkowości zarządczej, audytorów oraz biegłych rewidentów, analityków finansowych i menedżerów.

The aim of the conference is popularisation of the Lean Accounting and Lean Management concepts among practitioners of accounting and management as well as among academics. 
Moreover we would also like to create forum for discussing the problems and experiences in the use of tools and methods of Lean Accounting/Management. We hope that presentation of the case studies from multinational corporations operating in Poland would support exchanging the experiences in the field of implementation and application of Lean Accounting/Management.
We would make every efforts to ensure scientific atmosphere and facilitate the development of collaboration between practitioners and academics.

Since a few years the lean accounting issue has been attracting attention of the management practitioners, specialists and designers of management accounting systems as well as academics. Moreover, questions are asked about issues related to implementation of this concept, as well as the benefits it brings to the management organization operating in a dynamic global environment. The importance of the lean accounting and lean management issue in the business environment has been highlighted by strong interest of the first scientific conference of the series, which the Department of Management Accounting Department organized in 2012.
