The Korean Studies Section at the University of Warsaw is pleased to invite you to an international conference entitled “Korean civilization:  sources & prospects” which is going to take place in Warsaw on November 22-23rd2013. All Korea-related subjects will be accepted.

The conference is organized in order to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Korean Studies and the 60th anniversary of Korean Language education at our university.


 THE VENUE

The Conference will take place in Warsaw, the capital city of Poland. Although we are not able to offer travel grants to the participants, we are making efforts to secure sufficient financial resources in order to meet the costs of accommodation for all the participants presenting their papers. We will inform you about the final results of our efforts as soon as possible.


THE LANGUAGE OF THE CONFERENCE

The language of the conference is English and/or Korean.

APPLICATION AND SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS 

Applicants should submit the following information by e-mail.

1) your full name;
2) contact info (e-mail and telephone);
3) major area of study (region and discipline);
4) title of your paper;
5) one-page (500 words max.) abstract  including your name and institution.

APPLICATION PERIOD
The deadline for applications is June 17th, 2013.  We will contact all applicants by the end of June regarding the acceptance of their application.

 PRESENTATIONS 

All successful applicants will be expected to give around a 30 minute presentation including Q&A.
