The Challenges for Euro-Asia Past-Present-Future

Częstochowa, ul. Zbierskiego 2/4

OVERVIEW
Rapid changes that started appearing since the late 90s of twentieth century, and accelerated in the beginning of twenty-first century, show that US hegemony and unipolar balance of power is ending. The global system is reverting to multipolarity or apolarity. Emerging superpowers like China and potential ones like Brazil, European Union, India, Russia or ASEAN, in the upcoming years will play more important role and probably will have influence on how the world will deal with the global challenges.

In this context, the Euro-Asia seems to be preparing to assume pivotal role in world politics and economy. It is also crucial to pose a question how the Euro-Asian countries will deal with major challenges of XXI century. Will they cooperate or compete with each other, what will be more important for them – global/regional or national interests, economic growth or environment protection and their own values?

We invite scholars and practitioners to participate and propose their papers and panels on wide range of topics related Euro-Asian issues. The main aim of the conference is to analyse and discuss the most important challenges for the Euro-Asia region which can affect the rest of the world.
