The Assumptions 1 st International Seminar on Educational Ethnography and Disability Studies (ISEEDS) is a scientific event combining the issues of education immersed in culture and interdisciplinary studies on disability. The seminar in theoretical sense is rooted in ethnographic research in education, cultural anthropology and the problems of cultural studies on disability, dependence and diversity. Keynote speakers invited to the discussion during 1st Seminar from Polish and foreign universities in Japan, USA and UK represent disciplines as: education, sociology, cultural anthropology will discuss key problems of the ethnographic perspective in education and disability studies including ontological, epistemological and axiological contexts. Foreign keynote speakers represent universities from Japan: Women’s Kyushu University in Fukuoka, United States: University of Toledo in Toledo, United Kingdom: Oxford University. Poland is represented by research centers of the Jagiellonian University, University of Kujawy and Pomorze, Nicolaus Copernicus University and University of Warmia and Mazury.
